The iConverter family of manageable media converters provides fibre connectivity in Broadband Metropolitan, First Mile Fibre-tothe- X and Enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) applications. iConverters are used by service providers and enterprises worldwide where copper to fibre, multimode fibre to single-mode fibre, or dual fibre to single-fibre conversions are required. iConverter media converters can be managed via Omnitron's SNMP-based NetOutlookT management software, via thirdparty SNMP software, Telnet or Serial/Modem connection. iConverter management supports both secure IP-less and IP VLAN-tagged management traffic to isolate and protect management data from user data. To support Next Generation E-Line and E-LAN services, several iConverter media converters support Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) features including built-in management, switch technology, VLAN with Q-in-Q, QoS Prioritization, port MIB statistics, Bandwidth Control and Port Access Control. iConverters also feature Auto-negotiation, Auto-crossover and a comprehensive set of link fault detection tools for easy installation and configuration. Flexible and easily scalable, iConverter media converters are hot-swappable in 19-module, 5-module, 2-module and 1-module chassis. iConverters are NEBS Level 3, UL and CE Certified and support standard commercial temperature ranges of 0 to +50 o C as well as wide temperature ranges of -40 to +60 o C. Modules are also available with wide temperature ranges of -40 to +75 o C.
